Instructions for using shad shin guards
How to shape your leg braces
Safe use
Use hot water with caution – children under 15 years of age must have adult help.
Hot water can cause burns. Avoid direct skin contact.
Step-by-step guide:
1. Place the sleeve on your shin where you want the shin guard to sit.
2. Place one shin splint in a heat-resistant dish and pour boiling water over it so that the entire shin splint is covered.
3. Use a fork to move the shin guard in the water for 20–30 seconds.
4. Pick up the shin guard with the fork and place it immediately on top of the sleeve on the leg.
5. Let the shin guard follow the natural shape of the shin bone while it is placed on the sleeve.
6. Let it cool for 20–30 seconds until it is hard.
Repeat the process with the other shin splint.
7. Add foam to the back of your newly shaped shin guards.
Tip:
You can wear a thin sock under the sleeve for extra comfort if the shin guard feels warm.
Shape both leg guards before installing the foam pads.
