How do the moldable shin guards work?

Shads shin guards are made from a specially developed, heat-activated material that adapts to your shin when heated.

When correctly molded, the shin guards create a snug and personalized fit that follows your leg naturally. This provides maximum comfort, stability, and freedom of movement – both during training and matches.

The individual customization means that the shin guards fit more securely than traditional models and reduce the need for constant adjustment during play.

All our shin guards are produced in Denmark and developed with a focus on both protection and performance.
How do I mold the shin guards?

It's easy to mold your Shads shin guards – and it only takes a few minutes.

  1. Place one shin guard in a dish and pour very hot water over it (just below boiling point) until it is completely covered.
  2. Let it sit for about 30 seconds, keeping it moving with a fork or tongs.
  3. Take it out and quickly place it on your shin.
  4. Press it gently so it molds to your leg, and let it cool for about 30 seconds.

We recommend using a football sock between the shin guard and your leg so that the hot surface does not have direct contact with your skin.

Repeat the process with the other shin guard.

Finally, attach the foam to the back and trim it if necessary to ensure a perfect fit.

You can always repeat the process if you want to adjust the fit.

How do I choose the right size?

Shin guards are a very individual choice when it comes to fit. The most important thing is that they protect you properly. If you are in doubt about the right size, it is recommended to choose one size larger.

Here is our general size guide for the football player.

Can I get a design on the shin guards?

Yes – you can either choose one of our ready-made designs or design your own shin guards from scratch.

For many of our ready-made models, you can add your name and number directly on the product page.

If you want full freedom, you can design your own personalized shin guards with a picture, graphics, name and number, and customize the model and size as needed.

Are the shin guards approved for games?

Yes. Our shin guards are designed for use in both training and matches and comply with the current requirements for organised football.
Delivery
How long is the delivery time?

We typically produce and ship within 1–3 business days. The total delivery time is usually 2–4 business days.
What is the delivery cost?

Delivery Denmark DKK 39. Free shipping on purchases over DKK 499.

Delivery within EU DKK 69. Free shipping on purchases over DKK 799.

Delivery rest of the world DKK 99. Free shipping on purchases over DKK 999.
Returns & Exchanges
Can I return my shin guards?

Non-personalised products can be returned within 14 days.

Personalised shin guards cannot be returned, as they are custom-made for you.
Do you offer exchanges?

We offer one free exchange per customer on non-personalized products. The product must be unused and in original condition.
How do I start a return or exchange?

What should I do if the product is faulty?

We will process your case within 28-48 hours.
How long is my warranty period?

You have a 2-year right to claim under the Sale of Goods Act. The right to claim covers defects in material and manufacture.
Collaboration
Can clubs get custom designs?

Yes – we offer custom-designed shin pads for clubs, academies, and partners.

We can customize the design with your club logo, colors, name, and number, so that the players have a uniform and professional look.

All club orders are produced in Denmark and individually quality-assured.
