How to shape your shin sads
Step by step guide
1. Step
Place one shin pad in a bowl and cover it with boiling water - ensuring the entire shin pad is covered!
2. Step
Use a fork or similar tool to keep the shin pad moving in the boiling water for 20-30 seconds.
3. Step
Use the fork to lift the shin pad out of the water and quickly position it on the desired spot on the shin. (You can use a soccer sock to ensure the hot shin pad doesn't directly touch the skin.)
4. Step
Allow the shin pad to cool on the shin for approximately 30 seconds until it hardens.
5. Step
Repeat the entire process from steps 1-4 with the other shin pad.
6+7. Step
Apply foam to the inside of the shin pads for shock-absorbing protection. Trim any excess foam with scissors if necessary.
